In this two hour lecture, commercial and editorial photographer Ron Wyatt will talk about what it was like to shoot the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. He'll share a slideshow of his work, which includes captivating shots of many medal winners, and he will take questions from the audience about his equipment, while sharing specific shooting techniques.
Throughout the lecture, these and other topics will be covered:
• An overview of what Ron Wyatt brought with him in his camera bags, and how he handled 50+ pounds of gear (without an assistant!);
• What it was like to be a photojournalist at the Olympics in China;
• Techniques and the cameras/lenses he used to take many of his photographs;
• How he quickly processed hundreds of files and made DVDs during some corporate assignments; and
• How he backed up and archived thousands of images.
Ron Wyatt will also share other photographs from his collection, and offer tips and advice for how he "got the shots."
Each attendee will also receive a signed 11x14 color photographic print of The Bird's Nest by Ron Wyatt (shown above) output on Fuji Crystal Archive Professional Paper.
During the lecture, Andrew Darlow, whose exhibition, GRANDmarks - NYC will be on display at Alfa Art Gallery,
will spend approximately 30 minutes describing the exhibition, and he will answer questions
about inkjet printing. He will then sign copies of his book, 301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques, and 11x14 inch poster prints of his work.
